Donate Please

As I mentioned earlier I will be fundraising this season for the Pac Grove Triathlon. If you are interested in donating here is the link :o) THANK YOU. I will personalize it and make it look all pretty when I get back. I got the link today though and was told I had one week to set it up...YIKES TNT isn't messing around. My goal and minimum is to raise $3300 I really hope to make that and more. This season my run is dedicated to our friend who's going through her own battle with uterine cancer and of course to our past honoree's Cole and Brenda. I also run in honor of those who are still with us and are still battling this ugly disease and those in remission.

http://pages.teamintraining.org/sf/pactri08/tntrunnergirl

Also a little update on my boss's dog :o( they had to put him to sleep. So we've lost 2 dogs in 2 weeks in our office :o( very sad.

I had a WONERFUL evening with the ladies and now I'm at home relaxing.

Good night.

Signed Up

Well it's official, last night I signed up to do the Olympic Distance at the Pacific Grove Triathlon with Team in Training....YIKES! Kick Off for the season is on May 31st and I believe we start training the very next day...YIKES! Acutally I'm pretty excited. I'm looking forward to doing my second triathlon and not having to go out and run anything higher than 6 miles :o) I will also be fundraising for LLS so it's going to be a very busy season with training and fundraising.

Last night TNT had a special party for Alumni and if you went to the party you could sign up for $20 instead of $50. It was held at MoMo's and it was put together very nicely. They had the usual speeches and pep talk but it was very minimal because they wanted it to be more of a casual type thing. I took Olivia with me and Phil was also there. We didn't really know any of the other peeps there but we did chit chat with them a bit. It was a fun evening and they had super yummy food. We also witnessed a nice little under cover sting operation as we were leaving, hopefully Ms. Olivia will write about it since she almost got run over by a darn undercover cop :o( how rude.

So we are now just counting down the hours til we hop on our plance to the nice sandy white beach :o) Tonight I'm having dinner with Lindsay, Jeanette and Olivia and then tomorrow we'll probably head out a little early and have lunch with Rocky's dad before we head out. It's his bday tomorrow :o) We are taking our laptop and will try to update while we are there but I'm not promising anything. I mgiht not move from the pool or beach for 7 days :o)

More birthday wishes. Tomorrow is my father-in-laws birthday and my nephews. Sunday is Phil's birthday.

Happy Birthday!

They look half Salvadorean don't they? :O)

Doggie Prayers

Okay, what is going on this month/year with the bad news. Not only are our human friends having a rough month/year but so are the doggies in our lives. There are 3 of us in my office and we all have doggies so we understand how important they are in our lives and the connection that we have with them. They aren't "just dogs" to us, they are our family. If you remember a few weeks ago my co-worker lost Jack, their family doggie. Then over the weekend we found out that Rocky's cousins doggie died. They think he may have been bite by a rattle snake :o( He was a perectly healthy German Shepard who was 4 years old. Today my boss sits and waits to hear of his doggie will live or die :o( The doggie had seizures the other night and they were pretty severe. He has been at the emergency vet the last two days and will probably wait til tomorrow decide what will happen with him. They are waiting to see if the seizures have caused any brain damage. So doggie prayers that Ben comes out of this okay.

Last night was another long day for me. I had my hair done right after work, back to dark color again :o) liking it much better and then I had to go by Target. I ate and cleaned up a little and then I caught up on some of my shows for this week I hadn't watched. I'm getin anxious now and so ready to get going :o) 2 more day!

and birthday wishes to Cousin Rodney!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

April 23, 2008

3 DAYS!!!!

That's where we are going :o)

Here is what Wikipedia has to say about it.

Punta Cana, named after a local cape, is a region in the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic. Covering about 4,200,000 m2 (approximately 1,100 acres), the region is home to a coastline of sandy white beaches and to a town of the same name. A region once named Punta de Borrachón was merged with Punta Cana by the founding investors in 1969.........You can read more here.

And we are staying here :o)

I can already picture myself sitting on the sandy beaches under the nice hot sun :o)

Rocky and I got a lot done last night so I think now all we have to do is throw in the last minute stuff and we are set to go. YAY!

The house is pretty much ready as well for Ms. Olivia to come over and stay with the doggies. OH PLEASE BEHAVE DOGGIES :o) They love her so hopefully all will go well and she won't want to kill them. THANK YOU OLIVIA!

Lot's of birthday's going on this week starting today with Rocky's mommy :o) She is in the Phillipines on vacation so we won't be celebrating with her til we get back. She returns a day before we do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

April 22, 2008

Happy Earth Day!

I have tried to do my part in a little ways, like I've bought quite a few of the reusable bags at Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Umm but you have to remember to reuse them :o( I forget to put them back in my car after I empty them out. I need to get better at it. If I forget my bags I either buy a few more or just ask for paper not plastic. So I'm trying. I like the reusuable bags because they seem to hold a lot more and are very sturdy which is great for us because we have to haul everything upstairs. Whole Foods will even give you 5 cents back if you use your own bag or you can chose to donate the 5 cents back to be used for a charity.

Boston Marathon

Congratulations to our friends Cindy and Susan, they finished the Boston Marathon in under 5 hours today...woohooo!! Great Job Ladies!

and Congratulations to the Fat Kids for finishing the Relay yesterday. I hear they did a great job and took 4 hours off their time last year. They completed 199 miles in 32 hours and 39 minutes. YAY FAT KIDS!!!

Umm, I'm so darn tired I can't even think straight right now. Saturday turned out to be a 18 hour day for us :o( It was a very fun day but oh my gosh it was a long day. Had our nephews bday party and then Rocky's class reunion. That on top of cleaning, doing laundry and trying to get ready for our vacation has worn me out. 5 more days! :o) Yipee!

April 18, 2008

GOOD LUCK FAT KIDS!

:o) no I'm not insulting anyone, that is the name of the team that our friends put together to do The Relay. They will run from Napa to Santa Cruz, not all at one though :o) 12 member teams run 199 miles total. I'm not sure how many people are in the Fat Kids group, I know several had to drop out. It looks like though from reading Phil and Olivia each person will run 3 legs. They all get to ride, sleep, eat and be smelly in a van for about 36+ hours.....sounds fun doesn't it?

I'm sure they will have a blast.

GOOD LUCK!
and good luck to Dean Karnazes who is crazy and will not have a team of 12 people to run 199 miles, he'll be running the whole thing on his own.

We have a fairly mellow weekend planned. I'm pretty much going to be getting ready for our vacation. Gotta clean and organize the house, do laundry and start packing :o) YIPEE!!

April 17, 2008

Firefox Issues

Apparently my blog is having major issues with Firefox all of a sudden :o( So I have changed the font from the pretty purple to boring black so you can at least read my enteries. As for the rest of the blog :o( it's all screwed up but I'm not gonna worry about how to fix it because it does work fine in Interenet Explorer. Maybe it's just a temporary glitch and it'll start working fine again. Dumb Firefox!!

Birthday Fun

Last night I headed over to Amy's for our monthly Stitch-n-Bitch this time though we had a little celebration as well, Amy's Birthday :o)

It was a very fun evening with lots of friends, food, wine and cake :o) Once again I don't think much knitting got done but we did get to catch up with a few people that we haven't seen in a while so that was nice. It turned out to be a great evening.

Then I went home to my sickie :o( he's feeling better today although still a bit congested and with a cough. Here is what our kitchen counter looks like.

Cough medicine, various teas, daytime & nighttime sinus pain tylenol, mucinex, vitamin c and airborne in two flavors. Anyone need any meds?

April 16, 2008

Sleep Deprived

Hubby is sick :o( between me being sick, his co-workers being sick and the fact that he's been running himself ragged it was bound to hit him. He seem's to have the same thing I did, horrible cold with the darn sinus headache infection thing :o( poor hubby. So there hasn't been much sleep happening since he's had an icky cough. This morning when I woke up he was sleeping sitting :O( poor hubby. Chop chop and get better, vacation in 10 days :o)

The doggies are loving having him home though and they are also loving the sunshine. Yesterday they were both out on the balcony tanning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!

Amy, Me & Jeanette

Waste of Time

I was a bit annoyed yesterday with San Ramon Pool :o( I didn't get to swim. I'll have to go check Phil's blog to see if he managed to find a lane or not.

I arrived about 6:15 to change and half the pool was empty but then I saw a bunch of kids running from the pool in the back to the big pool. I saw that there were about 5 lanes open in the middle but I wasn't sure if we could use them or not so I asked the guy running the front desk. He said that we could use those middle lanes for lap swimming. I headed into the locker room and changed and by the time I came back out Amy was there. I paid and then went to meet her and she said there were no lanes. Huh! What happened? By the time I changed another bus load of kids had come and they were about to jump in our lanes :o( I guess they were short a lifeguard so all the kids had to be in the big pool therefore leaving no room for us. Phil said he was going to wait and see if he could swim. Amy and I bailed. I wasted 2 hours just hanging around after work. URRGGHHH, hope this doesn't happen next week.

Here is a video of Brenda that a friend from the Tri Team put together and more pictures from Sunday.

April 14, 2007

Exactly one year ago today Brenda went on to be an Angel. Physically she is not here with us anymore but her spirit is and there isn't a day that I don't think about her. We miss her lots.

Yesterday was the Brenda Donato Rainbow 5k Run/Walk to honor our dear friend. Brian, Lindsay and another TNT Manager, Leslie, have been working so so hard for the past few months on this race and yesterday it all came together. They had 214 people registered and 177 offical finishers. It turned out to be a beutiful day and the perfect way to remember and honor Brenda. It was like a small family reunion. We saw people that we haven't seen in years who'd come out to do the walk/run. I volunteered for the event so I did not walk but Rocky's band played and my mother-in-law ended up walking with our friend M and our niece and newphew in tow in the stroller. They had a great time as well.

The day couldn't have gone off any better. Brenda would have been proud.

Speedy Demon Coach returning from the run. He was doing like 6 minute miles, YIKES!

Our friend M, Rocky's mommy, and our niece & nephew, Sarah & Adam and Rudy sweeping.

They were last :o) but they had fun.

Other weekend happenings.

Originally I had no plans on Friday but after chatting with Brandy a bit throughout the day we decided it'd be fun to meet for happy hour after work. Then right before I was leaving work she emailed me to say that her BF had gotten 4 tickets to the Giant's game. She invited Rocky and I to go so we ended up making an evening out of it. I took BART out to SF and met Brandy at Embarcadero Center at Sen's Restaurant . The boys had to work later so they were just going to meet us for the game. It was such a gorgeous day in the city that no sweaters were needed and we sat outside on the rooftop patio of Sens. Service was horrible because they had not expected the mad rush of people that this awesome weather would bring out, it was 83 in SF at 5:30pm, you know it's hot if it's that hot in San Francisco. Anyway, Brandy and I had a few drinks and appetizers and her BF showed up a little later and had a cocktail with. Because the server was actuallly the manager and he could not provide us good service because he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, when Brandy went to pay he said NO WORRIES and comped the whole evening...YAY US! Rocky arrived right in time to head to the game.

Had a great time on the game and we all feasted on some baseball park food. Brandy and I shared some yummy cheesy nachos and the boys on some sandwiches. I'm not sure how much of the game we Brandy and I actually watched but Brandy was cracking me up. If we scored a run Brandy we say "ooh we got a point" and if we didn't "oh, no point". She is hilarious. Anyway, we left right before the end which I think was about 10 ish and it was still super warm out.

We had such a great time with Brandy and Sam. THANK YOU for a wonderful evening and thanks to Sam for the Giants tickets :o)

Saturday we had plans to go back to SF, this time with Ms. Olivia and have a nice lunch at the Ferry Building. It was once again in the 80's out there and we thought it'd be nice to enjoy the weather.

At 9am I recieved a text message from Brandy which said, I WANT MORE NACHOS!! haa, haa! See I told you she's funny!

Anyway, Rocky had a bunch of errands to run in the am and I had a bunch of cleaning to do around the house and Olivia had a run so we didn't leave for SF til about 1pm or so. By this time it was scortching out there. We had a very nice lunch at the Ferry Plaza Seafood Restaurant. We sat outside which wasn't bad at all since it's right by the water and the seating area is shaded. All of our meals had crab in them and they were all so fresh and super yummy. Afterwards we decided to walk around. That didn't last long though :o( we made quck pit stop at Pier 23 and used their restroom and I had a soda. We were super hot and super dehydrated. None of us were to happy. We stopped to get some water at a small store and then headed back to the car. Rocky had a few stops to make to pick up things he needed for Sunday and I didn't feel like going to all the guitar places so he dropped Olivia and I off at Union Square. We only walked around a little bit though before we decided to just plop down somewhere and relax and wait for Rocky. We got a few drinks and sat at the Cafe right in Union Square. We people watched for a little bit and then Rocky came back to get us. We were all whiped out so we headed home. The rest of the evening Rocky and I spent a bit miserable. I think we were both super dehydrated. I loved the warm weather over the weekend but holy smokes we went from 60 degrees coldness to 85 degress hotness. YIKES! It was nice though to bust out the summer clothes and feel the warm sunshine. It was a great weekend.

Tonight, swimming :o( and of course it's not warm anymore :o(

WOW, what a day!

Today turned out to be such a great day at the Brenda Donato Rainbow 5K. I'll update more tomorrow but here is an article that was published in the Contra Costa Times Yesterday.

5k Fun Run in Walnut Creek remembers local woman, raises money for blood cancer research
By Theresa Harrington Contra Costa Times
Article Launched: 04/11/2008 06:10:32 PM PDT

WALNUT CREEK — Even after her death, Brenda Donato is helping others.

About 300 of the Concord woman's friends, family members and supporters plan to participate in the Brenda Donato 5K Fun Run and Walk on Sunday to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which funds research seeking a cure for deadly blood cancers.

"Anybody that knew Brenda knew that she was really, really dedicated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society," said Lindsay Gage, one of Donato's friends who helped coordinate the run.

"She was very much focused on the mission of the society, which is to find a cure for cancer."

Donato died April 14, 2007 of complications related to a bone marrow transplant for leukemia, which she had battled for two years. She was 36.

A wife and mother of two boys, Donato completed a marathon and triathlon while her cancer was in remission. For the Wildflower Triathlon, she joined Team in Training, a group that runs to raise money for blood cancer research.

But the cancer returned and after receiving new bone marrow, she contracted chronic graft-versus-host disease, in which he donor's immune cells attacked her healthy tissue. Yet, she remained upbeat and blogged about her experiences.

"I always knew in my life that I was here for a reason," Donato wrote in her final blog. "My reason was always to help others."

The event Sunday will help carry on Donato's mission, Gage said.

"She touched a lot of people," Gage said. "We liked to call her the connector. Her story and spirit brought people together."

Dozens of people living with blood cancer in Contra Costa County meet once a month in a support group at John Muir Medical Center. Dr. Alan Brast, who facilitates the group, said life expectancy for those with the incurable disease can range from days to 15 or 20 years.

"With blood cancer, we always talk in terms of remission, not cure," Blast said. "These folks are always looking over their shoulders. You can be looking real good in all of your labs and then all of a sudden it's back. It's very stressful to be dealing with that every single day of your life."

Sunshiny Days!

WOOHOOO, it's finally warming up and I'm so excited. Weather man forcasted it to be 85 tomorrow, yipee! yipee! yipee!

Guess what? I'M GOING TO CHILE! Woohooo. I just got an opportunity to go to Chile for work and after checking with the hubby we've decided that I've gotta take this opportunity because I may never get it again. The only thing is that I leave 14 days after I get back from the Dominican and then 5 days after I get back from Chile we go to San Diego. Holy Smokes busy May for us but it's all going to be fun. Lots of planning to do and now lots of research to do on Chile since I will be there during a weekend so I'll have time to play and explore. I'm so excited. I think my brain is now on overload though cause I'm super excited about our vacation and now the Chile trip. Must take it one trip at a time :o) Anyone ever been to Chile? If you have email. We are staying in Santiago :o)

Last night we had a very yummy dinner with our friends Meenu and Chris. We tried a new restaurant in Piedmont, Dopo, which turned out to be super duper yummy and very nice atomosphere. The weather was so nice so we sat outside and when it got chilly they turned the heat lamps on for us. It was a really nice evening and we had fun catching up with them.

This weekend we have a pretty mellow Saturday planned. We want to get out and enjoy the weather so after a few errands tomorrow morning and Olivia's run we are heading out to San Francisco to hang out.

Sunday I am volunteering at the Brenda 5k, come out and join us if you can. Rocky's band is playing and it's going to be a great way to remember Brenday. Monday is the 1 year anniversary of her passing :o(

Have a great weekend!

That's he time I spent doing physical acitivity yesterday. YAY ME! I met up with my friend Debbie at the Iron Horse Trail and we went for a 45 minute walk. I've gotta look and see how far we went. It felt great to be out there although really, I hate walking. Shoes felt much better this time since I have my inserts in them. I can't believe how bad my shins were hurting after the walk on Monday. Having the right shoes and correct inserts really makes a big difference. But I knew that already, DUH me for thinking I could use my new shoes without my inserts. Bad girl!

After our walk we met up with Phil & Amy and went for an hour swim. YAY US! Our workout this week called for mostly all drills which are tiring because they are all mostly leg work, you don't do much with your arms. We did have to throw in some "build" swims which means that for each 25 meters you must increase your speed, that was exhausting. We all did it though and managed to get 1400 meters done in the hour we were out there. Thanks to Phil we didn't wimp out at 45 minutes because believe you me that Amy and I were ready to be done but he pushed us to do the rest of the workout and get a full hour in. YAY US!

No workout tonight since we are meeting friends for dinner tonight, sushi yummy for my tummy. I'll pick my walking back up Friday and this weekend.

Doggie Heaven

Yesterday my co-worker called and said that his wife asked him to return home because something was wrong with their doggie. They needed to take him to the vet right away. The doggies name is Jack and they have had him since he was a puppy, he is 9 now. He is a Golden Retriever (I think) and super friendly loving dog. They found out yesterday late afternoon that the doggie had a big mass in it's belly and they needed to do an MRI to see how bad it was. If it was contained they could try to do surgery but if not then they had to put him down. Well, my co-worker just called and they had to put him to sleep, the cancer had spread to much. He is now in doggie heaven.

There are days when I just want to open the door and let our doggies run away because they drive me batty but I know we'd I'd sad. There is just something about coming come to our crazy little doggies every day that feels so nice. Someone said to me the other day that the nice thing about having dogs is that they don't talk back, HA!, come to my house. Patch talks back all the time. Both doggies have such different personalities and are like little people. It's pretty funny. We've had both doggies since they were 8 weeks old and now Patch is a little over 2 and Daisy will be 1 year in May, I can't imagine not having them.

I didn't go on my walk yesterday at lunch, I think I'll either walk 3 miles or run three miles after work. Doing it during work is to hot and I hate being sweaty. I did though go home and walk the dogs around the block and although it's hilly it doesn't take than 10 minutes to go all the way around. I'll be swimming tonight though and looking forward to it. I think I'll also go on a 30 minute walk before since I have an hour or so to kill. That'd be a good way to spend my time instead of shopping :o)

Our friend goes in today for round 2 of her chemo, please keep her in your thoughts.

Sad Duckies

This morning on my way in I saw two very confused very sad duckies. It was a sad sight. I take 680 to Crow Canyon and take Crow Canyon all the way up to Blackhawk. There are lots and alots of dukies in this area as well as wild turkeys (very ugly ones), jack rabbits and deer. I have seen almost all of them dead on the side of the road at one point or another. This morning though a duckie and his buddies must have been crossing the road and one of them got hit :o( it looked liked who ever hit him took the time to get out of their car and move him out of the way off to the side but the other duckies looked so lost and confused. They were just standing there next to the dead duckie not knowing what to do. It's like they didn't wan to leave him behind. Poor duckies :o( It's just not a good area for any of these animals with all the traffic that goes through here.

I was not totally lazy yesterday, I did manage to get a 30 minute walk in on my lunch break. It felt pretty good. I went about 2.98 miles :o) I had planned on doing the same today but my shins are sore :o( I have new shoes and my darn inserts didn't fit in them so I used my shoes with just the inserts it came with, NOT GOOD! I could feel my shins bothering me about 10-15 into my walk but I was already out there and had to walk back to my office :o( So last night my hubby helped me cut my inserts around the top part so that they'll fit in my new shoes and I will try it again. I might wait til tomorrow though and let the soreness go away although I did bring all my stuff so I could walk after work if they aren't feeling to bad by the time the work day is over.

Doggy Heaven

Our weekend was actually fairly mellow. Saturday we headed out to Pittburg for a wedding shower. One of the girl cousins, on Rocky's side of the family, is getting married the first weekend in May. We are super bummed that we won't make the wedding, we'll still be on vacation, we are sure it's going to be one big fun party. Anyway, we had a great time and got to see some of the family that we hadn't seen since our wedding reception last year. Afterwards we went to another cousins house to check it out, they'll be moving in the summer. What's crazy is that she was telling us how the neighbors house originally sold for about 1 million dollars and now it's on the market for $400 something thousand. WOW! By the time we left Antioch it was dinner time so we headed into Walnut Creek and had dinner at Zheng Long's with Rocky's brother, our sister-in-law, the kids and his parents. It was a very nice end to the day. By the time we got home it was bed time :o)

Sunday I did NOTHING :O) all day. In the afternoon Rocky and I took the doggies to Pt. Isabel. They have finally opened up the new grassy area and the doggies were in heaven. They ran around like crazy, I even ran around like crazy with them :o) and after about a 45 minute walk we gave them their baths and headed towards home with a quick stop at Whole Foods for some grocery shopping. It was a nice weekend although still not warm :o( chop chop warmness, where are you?

This week I'm going to play it by ear. Amy can't committ to swimming since she'll be helping with her mom's move and I'm just not as good as her about going by myself. If Phil, Sandy or my friend Debbie can join me on Wednesday I'll try to get out there but if not I think it'll be a mellow week at home relaxing :o)

Love the Life you Live

That's part of my blog name, it's what is written on a ring that Olivia gave me for Christmas which I love and really says how we feel about life. I think that everyone should be thankful for everyday they are here on earth, enjoy their family, enjoy their friends and shoot enjoy work even if there are days you hate it :o) because you just never know when life will take a turn for the worse. I whine everyday :o( but really my life is great compared to what some people are going through.

This week has brought tough news to several people. News that will change them forever or just for a little while but news that just isn't fun to get and deal with.

It makes me thank my lucky stars that I am healthy and that I do have a great family, my family and the new my family (the Reyes's), my amazing friends and my furry little dogs that bring joy and sometimes pain to our household. There are days when work drives me to bonk my head on the wall but I am thankful for a great job that I've had for 7 years and that I do enjoy doing.

I can't go into details about whats going on with some of our friends but please keep those going through tough times in your thoughts.

I did speak to our friend with cancer and she is doing really good. She had one treatment on Wednesday and will have one next Wednesday and then a week off. She'll repeat this twice and then they'll go in and scan to see if the mass has shrunk and if it has then she'll hae surgery. If it has not then more chemo. She is feeling good and so far no side effects. Her hubby is amazing and has been right by her side since this all happened. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she has a smooth time during treatment. Chemo can be icky let's hope it's not too bad for her.

Anyway, it's been an icky week. Hopefully it's the end of the bad news.

Have a great weekend and go have some fun. It's suppose to be nice out :o)

Another Angel

This is a picture of Brenda and her friends Victoria and Liza (sorry it's so small but that's all I could find on the blogs). They all received treatment at UCSF together and that is where they met. Liza ended up going to MD Anderson in Texas to recieve treatment and lost her battle about 5 months after Brenda passed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Victoria last year at Brenda's Celebration of Life. I had been keeping up with her story by reading her blog. I know she had been sick lately and just trying to get better. She hadn't been writing a lot on her blog so I wasn't really sure how she was doing. Jeanette wrote me this morning and told me that Victoria passed last night :o( Jeanette had gotten on an email notification list that gets sent out and last night the family let everyone know that Victoria went on to be an angel. These three lovely ladies are now together again.

Rocky's dad is feeling better and was sent home from the hospital yesterday. We'll be seeing him this weekend.

Give a Little

Mama Lisa, our awesome marathon Coach is raising money for LLS and doing the Hike for Discovery. You may have seen that both Phil and Sarah had pimped her page to get the word out. Mama Lisa is still a few thousand dollars short of her $5000 minimum and she is beginning ot worry that she won't make her deadline of May 1st. So if you've got a few dollars to spare head on over to her site and donate.

Not much going on with me, still trying to recover.

Rocky's dad has been sick and in the hospital the last few days so keep him in your thoughts. Rocky went to the hospital to see him last night and spend some time with his mom, brother, sister-in-law and the kids. He might be able to go home today.

Also keep our friend in your thoughts, today is her first day of chemo :o(

Whinese 2008

Seems like for months now I've been speaking Whinese, that would be the language of WHINING :o( I'm tired of it and I just want to feel good. No more twisted ankles, no more broken toes and not more nasty colds :o(

By the time I got home last night I had the most horrible headache ever, behind my eyeballs. I ended up going to bed by like 8:30. I've called the doctor cause it seems like maybe I have a sinus infection and I've taken an insane amount of over the counter medicines and nothing is helping :o( whine, whine, whine! Today my head still hurts although right now the pain is tolerable hope it stays that way, whine, whine, whine!

Toe news, it's feeling better so I think it's on it's way to being healed. I am now wearing regular shoes with out much discomfort. I notice that if I squeeze the top part of my toe it does still hurt a little so I don't think it's fully healed yet but it's doing much much better, YAY! whine, whine, whine!

Weight loss news, I lost 2 more pounds...YAY! no whining here. I do have a lot more to lose but I'm just taking it one week at a time and this week was a good week :o)

Won't be swimming at all this week. Need to recover first before I go jump back in the pool in the cold :o( It's been so nice and sunny out but super cold, why? whine, whine, whine.
*SIGH*
on a happier note

Happy Birthday to our nephew Adam :o)
