Dinner for 3

Dinner on Friday night was Rocky, myself and A RACCOON???? What's with me and the animals during my meals. First a slug. Oh, I was informed by Jeanette that the thing in my sandwich was not a worm it was a slug. Umm, cause that was any better?

Anyway on Friday night Rocky and I made a trip over to Olivia's to drop off a few things for her camping trip it was a already late so we decided to also grab a bite to eat before heading back home. We decided to have dinner at Zheng Long's, a pan Asian bistro, which I LOVE. The weather was still nice so we were seated outside. We had a table up against the side wall which is actually not really a wall it's a huge opening to another deck in the back. The windows are covered with bamboo blinds. I kept hearing noises on the other side of the drapes and Rocky kept reassuring me it was just whatever nuts were in the tree falling down. He was right, partially :o( Later I heard a louder noise that sounded more like someone was back there. It was super dark so I knew it wasn't a worker. It was a raccoon, which we did take a picture of but didn't turn out great.

Rocky says Raccoon's are better then Possums, okay whatever, do they need to be around me when I am eating? They are big and ugly and if they bite you you are in big big trouble :o( the darn thing creeped me out the rest of the dinner.

Saturday it was the doggies, the dust bunnies and me. Since we didn't go camping Rocky had to work :o( so the kids and I hung out. I did lots of cleaning, laundry, sitting to relax the foot, watching my TiVo'd shows and napping :o) It was a nice day just hanging out relaxing.

Although I enjoyed my day at home on Saturday I did need to get out for a little while so on Sunday Rocky and I headed to the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival and took the doggies. It was Daisy's first big outing in a crowded place. It went well and we had a good time. We didn't stay too long though because it got kind of warm and foot started to bother me :o( so back home we went to relax, elevate, ice and later on in the evening we BBQ'd. It was a nice mellow Sunday with the hubby and doggies.

The ankle is doing much better, I can walk on it now without the splint or crutches. I still can't get my shoes on though because the ankle bone still hurts and the pressure of shoes is uncomfortable. I also have to take it easy when walking because after a while my whole foot starts getting achy enough that it bothers me.
