Family, Friends and Lots o'Food

We had a great weekend and both days involved lots of food :o)

Friday evening we had been invited to a friends birthday but I was pretty exhausted and I had also made plans to have a TNT friend over for dinner. Rocky decided to head over to the SF to have dinner and hang out for al little while with all his friends since he doesn't see them often and I stayed home and had a nice relaxing evening with our friend. We actually ended up going out to dinner because I made a boo boo and bought steak to make for dinner, she doesn't eat read meat :o( oopsy!

Rocky's parents both turned 65 this week so the boys decided it'd be nice to throw them a party with their friends and some of the family on Saturday. After throwing back and forth some ideas the final decision was to hire a Sushi chef and invite everyone over to my sister/brother in-law's house. Somehow everyone managed to keep the whole thing quiet and they were both very surprised when they arrived. My mother in-law even cried a little, it was cute. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time.

Sunday Rocky and I had the immediate family over to our house. Although our house is not huge it's still roomier than the condo was and we were finally able to have the whole family over. That would be 12 of us. Yeah not so small, haa, haa. Anyway, Rocky and I were busy the few days before preparing our home and making up a menu. We made beef brisket, asparagus with toasted almonds, couscous, salad, bread and polish sausages. It was quite the spread and it all turned out yummy. Everyone had a great time hanging out and the weather was perfect (unlike today's freezing cold weather :o( ).
