Eat 2 Dumplings & Call me in the Morning

:o) this recipe works for the sick :o) I left my house yesterday just to go to Safeway and pick up the few things I need to make the Apple Dumplings. I luckily had a lot of points left over since I hadn't eaten much. Even though I only made half the recipe and used half or less of the ingrediants one little dumpling has more points than a subway sandwich, oops. But let me just tell you how GOOD they were :o) YUMMY! It's was the perfect medicine :o)

I feel much better today and I am at work, too bad I couldn't just take another day off though it's SUPER nice outside. The last two days the doggies have been soaking up the sun on the balcony and loving it. It's suppose to be nice all weekend too :)

So I was totally wrong about who's been causing trouble at the house. I kept blaming it on Patch and yesterday I caught Ms. Daisy red handed. I was sitting on the couch next to the magazine holder and I heard some rustling, it was Daisy running away with the magazine. It's the latest issue of InTouch, guess she wanted to read the latest on Brangelina :o)

Blah part 2

still at home feeling like ick :o( I rolled out of bed at 2pm yesterday, took a shower and put my jammies back on to roll onto the couch and watch oprah and knit. The only good that has come out of me being sick is that I get to knit and knit and knit :o)

My hubby was sweet and stopped by La Pinata and bought me some super yummy chicken soup, it was good for my belly. I will try to have some today for lunch. It's my favorite soup for when I'm sick. I really need to learn how to make it. Or these, maybe those will make me feel better :o)

February 27, 2008

Blah!!

I am currently at home in bed with two furry dogs, my little pillow and a teddy bear....I am sickie :o(

I have been feeling pretty yucky since Monday so I'm not sure if I'm coming down with something icky or just feeling really icky and I need to rest and sleep. My head hurts, I want vomit (I know, too much info) and my belly hurts :o( waahhh, waaahh, waaaahhh. It's almost lunch time and all I've had today is a sugar free chocolate jello pudding snack, YUMM, but it made my belly hurt some more :o( I think I'll go back to sleep.

Even though I felt icky yesterday I still managed to make it to the pool and swim with Amy. We got 1050 meters in last night in a little over 40 minutes.

50 Swim
50 Kick
50 Pull
100 Swim x6
50 Kick x6

I won't be meeting her tonight though :o( I think I might swim on Saturday since it's suppose to be a nice day and that way I can get my 3 days of swimming this week in.

Okay, back to sleepy now.

February 26, 2008

TEN!

Ahhh, sunshine once again :o) I hear it's going to get into the high 60's this weekend...YIPEE!

Last night was a swim night and this week we've decided that we'll actually have 3 days in the pool. I'll be swimming again tonight and tomorrow night. Last night we did our drills x3 and once again did a 100m cool down instead of just 50. We finished off the evening with a total of 1100m...GOOD JOB AMY! It's starting to feel easier and like when we are swimming it's much smoother. We finished our whole workout in about an hour. I'm feeling good today and looking foward to jumping back in the pool.

The one thing that I'm not liking is getting home so late at night :o( I forgot how much time all this takes and that when I'm on the team it'll be even worse because we train pretty much all week and both weekend days :o( Good thing hubby has lots going on too at least when I'm not home it gives him some quiet time (sort since doggies are home) to get his studying done.

On a happy note, I weighed in yesterday at WW and had lost more weight :o) YAY ME! My scale at home is showing the same weight as WW so this morning before heading for work I decided to weigh myself and as of today I have officially lost 10 lbs. YAY ME AGAIN!!! I'm very excited. Little by little is coming off :o) Now the key is to keep it off and STOP eating like a piggy on the weekend. I've got nothing planned this week or this weekend so that should help. I've gotta start planning now for what I'm gonna eat while we are in Solvang next weekend. Being good while on a trip is hard so I think I'll bring a cooler at least for the drive down. I can pack some lunches and snacks so I'm not tempted to eat all the gas station goodies that I normally eat while on a road trip or that In-n -Out Burger :o(

Mom is feeling much better :o)

ONCE

Watched the Oscars last night even though of all the movies nominated we've only watched one. We watched the movie ONCE a few weeks ago, we rented it at Blockbuster. I thought it was a cute movie but I had lost interest after a while cause they played the same song, Falling Slowly, over and over and over for the whole movie. Anyway, it was a good song and it won Best Song Written for a Motion Picture. YAY for them

Weekend was great. Friday I spent the entire day out at Stiches West with Amy. We had a great time although by the time we got home, 10 hours later, we were pooped. I spent the evening admiring all my new yarns :o) I heart yarn.

Saturday was pretty mellow for me. I had planned on going back out to the convention with Jeanette and Olivia but decided to stay home. My back couldn't handle another minute on that darn cement floor at the convetion center and neither could my wallet, haa, haa. So I stayed home and played with my yarn some more and knitted. Rocky and I had dinner out and then he went off to play music while I relaxed.

Sunday was more of the same although we did leave to go to a fundraiser at Sports Basement. We both needed some cycling stuff and if we bought anything we got 10% off and then 10% of our sales went towards our friend Debra's fundraising. We were there for a couple of hours and managed not to spend too much money. I picked up a few cycling shirts and hammer gel. Rocky grabbed a few things he needs for his ride in Solvang, 12 more days! YIKES! We headed back home to watch the Oscar's and the hubby had some studying to do.

Say a prayer for my mommy, she hasn't been feeling good these days :o( I'm hoping that when we are in Solvang she'll have the weekend off and we can spend some time with them.

Vote for Levi

Background

On February 13th, the Amaury Sports Organization (ASO) barred Team Astana from competing in any race or event organized by the ASO in 2008. The ASO owns premiere cycling events like Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, Paris-Tours, and the famed Tour de France.

The ASO cited the doping scandals of last year’s Tour de France as justification.

There can be no comparison between the Astana team of 2007 and the new Astana. The entire organizational structure has been rebuilt under the direction of the team’s new General Manager, Johan Bruyneel, who has thoroughly cleaned house. What’s more, Astana has adopted the rigorous doping controls developed by anti-doping expert Dr. Rasmus Damsgaard, and Astana now spends more money on anti-doping controls than any other team in the pro peloton.

I didn't know all this until I was at Amgen on Sunday. Levi had a booth there. Pretty interesting stuff and really poopy for him.

I'm updating tonight because I won't be around tomorrow. I'm off to Stitches West with Amy. Tomorrow is a super slow day all across our company because all our engineers are off to Colorado for our annual Technical Seminar so it's a quiet day in the office and a day off for me :o) which worked out perfect because it's Stitches West, a knitting convention. I can't wait!

Have a great weekend!

Eclipse

The rain held out and although it was cloudy we still go to see this

while doing our swimming last night. We did all the same drills we did on Monday and even added an extra 50m of swimming at the end for a total of 850m last night :o) YAY us.

I went by Forward Motion yesterday and got new shoes. Mizuno is very funny and now I see why we end up having issues, like shin splints or plantar faciitis, when getting new shoes. For some reason I haven't thrown out my 2005 running shoes and last night I was looking in my closet and here is what I have:

2005 Mizuno Alchemy - Size 7.5
2006 Mizuno Alchemy - Size 6
2007 Mizuno Alchemy (these are my new ones) - Size 7

WHY is that each year they mess with the shoe so much that I'm such different sizes. I'm usully a 7 in a running shoe but I'm assuming that something went wonky in 2006 and they ended up with a very wide or long shoe for me to be wearing a size 6 and have plenty of room in the toe. Very strange. I've gotten lucky and never had a problem with the Mizuno's. In 2005 I had shin splints and plantar faciitis because before I found that Mizuno's would work I had gone through about 4 other shoes to find the one that was perfect. I used to wear Saucony and they changed my shoe and the new one is what caused my problems :o( grrrrrr! Anyway, I hope my Alchemy's continue to be good for me. I shall find out very soon.

Weight loss had been VERY slow for the last couple of weeks but I wasn't really being good on the weekends. I manage to maintain my weight and even lose a few ounces here and there but it wasn't much. I kind of fell behind my plan of at least 2lbs a week but I'm back on track now and went by and got weighed in today......down a total of 9.4 lbs, I am only a few ounces away from that 10lb mark....YAY!!!! I've gotta work hard I've got a vacation to go on in 2 months :o) I really think the swimming will help and I'm planning to start running soon which is why I went and bought new shoes. I think Rocky and I are also going to join the Yellow Jackets, a cycling group, to ride with on Saturday's until I start the triathlon team. Lots of hard work but in the end it'll pay off and I'll be nice and skinny, I hope :o)

February 20, 2008

Crabby Crabby Crabby

I got this magnet over the weekend when we were at Pier 39 :o)

Why am I crabby? Well let's see.

Pay Taxes - CHECK
Pay Big Fat Ticket - CHECK
Pay for New Passport - CHECK

GEESH :o( not a good way to start my morning. Pay, Pay, Pay, how come no one writes me big fat checks just because? Hmmmpphhhhhh!

Tonight I'm meeting Amy for swimming. I'm really crossing my fingers that the rain holds out. Last night it was pouring at our house and there was even some thunder :o( Amy said it wasn't raining over here though so maybe we'll get lucky tonight.

Keep on Swimming, Swimming Ms. Amy

Had a great long weekend. We actually ended up having a busy weekend but a fun one. I forgot to bring my camera to upload my pictures so I'll add those tomorrow but here is a recap of the long weekend.

Friday

hmmm, so long ago I can't remember what we did....OH, haa, haa. I got my hair cut and colored, YAY! and then I picked up my hubby at the airport :o) Doggies and I are very happy to have him home. It was late and neither one of us had eaten so we took a quick trip to Chevy's for dinner and then headed home.

Saturday
Slept in a little and then headed to Pt. Isabel with the doggies. They really needed to go out there, they had been missing it and good thing we took them cause it's suppose to start raining again today and through the whole week :o( Anyway, it was a bit chilly but turned out to be a really nice day for a doggie walk and doggie bath. Both doggies decided it'd be funny to go muddy puddle swimming. It was actually pretty darn funny. I think Daisy fell into the puddle and it stunned her cause she came runnina to me and wanted me to carry her, she didn't know what had happened. Patch on the other hand went right through the puddle on purpose. That darn doggie. After our walk we gave them a bathe and headed home with to very pooped out pooches.

Rocky and I showered up and got ready and headed out of the house. I didn't want to be cooped up inside, it was such a nice day. We went to Montclair and had lunch and then walked around a bit. We spent a bit of time at the Knitting Basket chatting with the owner which I'm glad we met. We were kind of turned off by the store the last few times we'd been in because her staff wasn't very friendly but she was really nice so Ithink I may go back there. Then we headed to Michael's for a few knitting/crochet supplies :o) Then it was off to pick up Rocky's mom from work. We had made plans to have dinner with them in the city.

We picked up Rocky's mom downtown Oakland and then headed off to SF to pick up Rocky's dad at the Ferry Building, he had taken BART in from Daly City. We had dinner reservations at 6:30 at he Crab House at Pier 39 :o) YUMMY, I heart Crab! It's always fun going to Pier 39 and pretending to be a tourist. We walked around for a bit and then went to dinner and then did some more walking around afterwards. It was a really nice evening. We drove Rocky's parents back to the Daly City BART to pick their car up and then headed home.

Sunday
We were suppose to have Lael and Anthea over for dinner but decided to head out to Palo Alto to watch the Amgen trials. They were going to be out there also so we figured we'd do dinner in Palo Alto aftewards.

Rocky headed out in the morning for a short bike ride, he's only got a few weeks til Solvang, so he wanted to get a ride in. I stayed home and did some stuff around the house and got ready for our day out. Rocky made it home, got showered and we headed out by 11am, made a quick drive thru stop for some food and then headed to Palo Alto. We got there fairly quick and found parking. I wasn't sure what to expect out there since the only other time I've seen Amgen is during one of their stages 2 years ago through Lafayette. It was over and done with in about 2 seconds. Riders came and riders went :o( This was timed trials though so it was a bit different. They had a booth festival set up kind of like you have out at triathlons, they had food booths, gear booths and a stage with music. It was actually pretty cool. We walked around for a bit and grabbed all the free goodies they had. I don't know why I do this, I always end up with a bag full of stuff I don't need and throw it all out. I did win a $20 off certificate so Rocky found a biking jacket he liked and used the coupon towards it. We walked around the festival and a bit and then headed over to find a good viewing spot almost towards the finish. We decided on a spot about 200m from the end so that we could get a good look at the guys coming through and get some pictures. It was a LONG day of waiting and standing but it was fun. Man, those guys are super fast. We saw George Hincapie and Levi Leipheimer (i guess he's the new Lance) and a bunch of other guys that I hadn't heard of but I guess are pretty popular in the cycling world. Hubby knew who they were :o) We hung out with Lael and Anthea throughout the day and then aftewards we decided to head over to the Stanford shopping center for dinner at PF Chang's. We were all pretty whiped out. Spectating at these events can be tiring. You are standing all day long and just waiting and every few minutes one cyclist comes by. I think there must have been 80-100 cyclist out there, we walk around/stood for about 4 hours. After dinner we wont home and passed out.

Levi Leipheimer

Monday
We thought about going out to Sausalito for Stage 1 of the Amgen Tour but decided against it since I had made an appointment for my bike to be fitted. I didn't want to cancel it and State 1 started in Sausalito so we wouldn't of made it back in time. We decided to sleep in and just relax. We had a nice breakfast and didn't really do much in the morning. Rocky again had a bad allergy attack so he wasn't feeling too great. We headed out around 12:30 for my appt in Berkeley which didn't take too long actually. The guy who did my bike fitting said it looked pretty good the way it was. He just moved my seat up a tiny bit and back a tiny bit but it made a big difference. He did make me pedal for about 20 minutes :o( I was pouring sweat, man I'm out of shape.

The rest of the day was spent resting, knitting, eating and watching tv. I was meeting Amy at 6:30 in San Ramon for a our first swim...eeeekkkk! I was a bit nervous since I haven't been in the pool in two years and I wasn't looking foward to being in the pool in the cold, the pool is heated but it's still super chilly out.

We did great though, 800 meters done in our first workout :o) WOOHOOO! GOOD JOB AMY!

Here is what we did:

50m - Swim
50m - Kick (you just hold on to kick board and kick)
50m - Pull (put a pull buoy between your legs and just use arms to swim)

That was our 150m warm up

then:
25m - Kick
25m - Drill #1 (face down, hands on side and only kick, take head out of water only to breath)
25m - Swim

25m - Kick
25m - Dril #2 (on your back, hands on side and only kick)
25m - Swim

25m - Kick
25m - Drill #3 (hands on side, face down and roll onto your back)
25m - Swim

25m - Kick
25m - Drill #4 (hands on side, face down, roll onto back but pause on your side before rolling over)
25m - Swim

we did this sequence twice for 600m

and then a 50m cool down = 800m

I'm feeling a little sore today but not too bad. I'm glad we got out there. I slept like a baby last night. We'll be swimming again on Thursday.

He's coming home

YIPEE my hubby is coming home tonight :o) Did you notice that I didn't metion him all week? That's because he's been in New Orleans working:o( He left Monday and comes home tonight. It's been a quiet week around the house but we all miss him. The doggies have been driving me bonkers at night because they'll wake up and remember he's not there and jump off the bed to look for him, then return and then do it again a few hours later. Patch has been sad and Daisy just kind of does whatever Patch does, fun stuff!

chop chop Mr. Airplane and bring our daddy home

I spent a nice Valentine's Day at home having dinner with Olivia and Amy. Olivia brought us some pretty flowers and Amy brought ice cream cake :o) can't ask for anything more. I heart cake. We had a nice healthy dinner with Ahi Tuna, Veggies and Couscous and then hung out just chatting away. Thank you ladies :o)

We don't have a long weekend :o( gotta work on Monday but I get next Frdiay off, yipee!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Valentines Day

Loving the Sunshine

I am really loving this sunshine :O) it makes me happy and less grumpy. Not sure how long it's gonna last, I highly doubt we won't have more rain but it's been really nice to have almost 2 weeks of sun. I'm hoping to get the doggies out this weekend. I didn't have a chance last weekend but Patch was content with just laying out on the balcony. Both doggies were out there for quite a long time soaking up the sunshine rays.

Nothing exciting about last night. I had to make a stop at Michael's on my way home for some ribbon to finish a hat I knitted. I went home and made dinner, knitted a scarf for Ms. Lindsay while watching tv and then hit the sack. Pretty boring.

Tonight I'm gonna hit the grocery to get stuff for Valentine's Day dinner. Not sure what I'll cook but I'm sure I'll come up with something yummy!

Valentine's is an annoying holiday to me. Why should we be told by some darn Hallmark holiday when I should make a nice dinner, buy nice gifts, give nice cards and treat my significant other oh so nice. Shouldn't you be doing that everyday? Luckily in my house we do. Hubby and I do nice things for each other all the time. We leave sticky notes for each other or buy each other cards just because. We make yummy dinners at home at least a few times a week and we are always nice to each other. In fact my hubby brings me flowers every couple of weeks...aaaawwww...how sweet :o) I love my hubby.

I heart Berries

Last night was a mellow night for me, sort of. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with my friend Debbie helping her fill out her eHarmony survey. That darn thing is super long and they tend to ask pretty much the same questions over and over in different formats. Kind of annyoing if you ask me. It was fun though and I'll have to get an update from her to see if anything comes out of it.

Weight lost this week was super duper minimal, 4 ounces :o( oh well, at least I didn't gain weight, right? Hopefully I'll do better this week, I've had two weeks of very small lose so I'm a few pounds behind.

My new favorite dessert is a mixture of berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries) in waffle bowl with fat free cool whip....YUMMY! and it's just 2 pts. I kind of stumbled on it by accident when I was trying to figure out what to make for the ladies on Sunday. I was at home checking the points on the waffle bowl which I thought would be high but come to find out it's only 1 little pt, berries are 1 for 1 cup and the cool whip is ZERO! It's a great way to get 1 serving of fruit in and get my craving for dessert satisfied.

Happy Sunny Tuesday!

Vacations, Knitting & Dead Batteries

This weekend turned out to have some highs and some lows.

Friday night Rocky and I headed out to Montclair and had dinner at Italian Colors. It's a yummy place but way over priced for pasta. We had a good time though and while there we chatted about where we are going on vacation in April for our 1 year Anniversary..YIKES time flies when you are having fun.

Anywho, we've had a travel agent looking into several locations for us, Mexico, Caribbean, Costa Rica, and after looking at locations and pricing we've decided to go with the Caribbean. We are going to be going to the Dominica Republic and staying in a nice place right on the beach :o) I can't wait! It'll be a nice getaway to a new location and very relaxing. I've been to several location in Mexico and Costa Rica was super expensive so for the price we got a good deal to go to the Dominican Republic. I would have never thought that this was a popular destination but after looking into it, it is so this is where we will go. This means I gotta chop chop and get a new passport since I changed my name. I will be taking care of that this week. After a nice dinner and chatting we headed home to relax.

Rocky got up and went on another bike ride Saturday morning while I stayed home to do some much needed cleaning of the house and laundry. I managed to get all the cleaning done before I had to leave the house for my pedicure appt. I was meeting Amy in Walnut Creek to have our toes done. It was nice to have my feet massaged after running around the house cleaning all morning. Somehow while sitting there chatting about stuff we remembered that we both needed a few things before we can start swimming, we are starting on the 18th, one of those things was a new bathing suit because neither one of us fits into our old ones :o( We decided to hit the swim shop in Walnut Creek after our toes, talk about deflating my good mood :o( let's just say things didn't go so well :o( I did manage to get new goggles though and a new swim cap, in pink :o) After the icky swim suit shopping we picked up sandwiches and headed home. I made a quick stop at the grocery store and then headed home to the hubby and doggies.

We talked to our travel agent Saturday afternoon and officially booked our trip so afterwards we headed over to Barnes and Noble to find some books on the Dominican but they didn't have much so we didn't buy anything. I did manage to find a swimsuit at Sports Authority while we were out...YUCK! We made a quick stop at Blockbuster to rent a movie and then headed home for the evening.
Sunday Rocky headed out to Kali and I did nothing in the morning :o) it was nice. Later in the afternoon I staerted cooking some yummy quesadilla fixings for the ladies coming over for knitting. We had a GREAT time lauging, eating, drinking and knitting. I always have a good time with these ladies. My hubby though was on the couch miserable :o( he all of a sudden got a really bad case of allergies. He ended up taking some medicine and going to bed :o(

The ladies headed out around 7:30 and a few minutes later one was back, Olivia. Her car died :o( Rocky tried to jump it but it didn't work. We aren't sure if my hubby is battery jumping challenged or the car just wouldn't turn over. Called AAA and the guy said she needed water in the battery, HUH! I didn't know batteries had water in them, I dunno. Anyway, he didn't think that she'd make it home even if he filled it so we decided she should just stay and deal with it in the morning. We did just that! Mr. AAA man arrived around 9am with a new battery, installed it and off she went. I benefited from it cause I got to sleep in while we waited for him :o)

It was a nice weekend. I'm excited about our vacation, it gives me more of an incentive to lose weight. YAY! I got quite a bit of knitting done and uhhhh, Ms. Olivia has herself a new battery and luckily that's all that is wrong with her car.

No so innocent!

They look oh so innocent but they are not. These little guys love driving me bananas. Daisy or Patch, still haven't figured out who, continue to enjoy reading my InTouch Magazines. I think Daisy is still trying to find her signature color. Last night I came home and yet another magazine had been torn apart and the cushions from the couch were all over the floor. Cause you know they don't have like 4 doggie beds to pick from. They have now decided that the back part of the couch is their laying spot and I'm sure they are fighting for it so now the cushions end up on the floor. OY!!!!! My mom just mentioned how they miss having a dog, hmmm wonder how Daisy would feel about living down south, just kidding Daisy, mommy loves you :o)

I'm very happy it's Friday! Tomorrow will be a nice sort of relaxing day. I've gotta clean the house but other than that we have no plans. Sunday the ladies are coming over for knitting.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Veggies Galore

Haven't been up to much this week. I've pretty much gone home, eaten dinner and then plopped on the couch to watch TV or knit a little. I was suppose to take a knitting class tonight but they cancelled it because no on signed up :o( boo, hoo. I'm bummed. I will however get my knitting fix in this week since I'm hosting an SnB at our house on Sunday.

I made a yummy veggie soup from Weight Watchers last night so I'll be going home to have some of that. Hubby has had a long week this week with working late, school and band practice. I have a feeling we are going to have a low key weekend. I'm looking forward to it being Friday tomorrow. Too bad I can't take the day off, it is SO nice outside, me heart the sunshine.

That's my boring update for today :o(

Tiddy Bears

More Ellen funnies :o) She is having people send her links to funny inventions and someone sent her one for the Tiddy Bear.

February 05, 2008

Half way to Half Way

My dad asked me the other day how it is I'm losing weight and still eating out so much, haa, haa, I dunno. Actually I do know, by making better choices. Well at least making better choices Monday - Friday since the weekends just don't seem to be as easy to deal with. I'm making better choices in what I pick and my hubby has been good about sharing food with me instead of us both eating and ENTIRE meal out. So things like having salad instead of fries for lunch or eating fruits with my breakfast instead of potatoes, having smaller portions. Little things make a big difference.

So today I am half way to my goal of losing 15lbs...woohoo! I still have a lot of work to do but it feels good that little by little the pounds are coming off. It's HARD, very very hard. There are days I just want to cry and eat an entire pizza, but I don't and I haven't yet although I've gotten close :o(

I'm not excersising yet but I know once I start it'll help a lot. Amy and I are going to plan on swimming a few days a week and in a few weeks I will start running again. I actually can't wait. I"m starting to miss it, ummm only a little though :o)

Boys and Girls Weekend

This weekend was busy but we had a really fun time. Friday night Rocky and I hung out at home and just had a nice relaxing evening.

Saturday we got up early and had a yummy breakfast together and afterwards I went back to bed and he got ready for a crazy bike ride. Luckily he survived it and I'm hoping he didn't get sick from it since he didn't manage to make it home befor the rains and got drenched. I'm proud of him though for pounding out 32 miles in the freezing cold and on top of that it was a hilly ride.

I finally made it out of bed and got ready for the a day in Sonoma. I made breakfast for Ms. Olivia and Jeanette while they got ready at my house and then we headed out. We had a great time hitting the wineries and just hanging out together, chatting and laughing. OH and getting DRENCHED :o( the few showers scheduled for Saturday were an endless downpour of rain and wind. It sure made for a fun day running from the car to the tasting rooms at the wineries. We had a nice dinner and then took Jeanette back to her car, she had plans with the hubby and had to get back. Olivia and I had planned to stay.

In the meantime the hubby was at home getting ready to go to the Foo Fighters Concert with his brother. Same situation at home, pouring rain :o( but Rocky and Martin had a great time and said the concert was really good. YAY! A fun evening for the brothers.

Super Bowl Sunday we headed over to Rocky's parents house. Olivia and I both had to cook stuff to bring to Rocky's mom's house for Super Bowl. She went home to make cookies :o) and I made some Spicy Chicken Legs and Spicy Shrimp. Olivia made it back to our house around 1pm and then we headed to Daly City. Rocky's parents purchased a new flat screen tv and of course had made lots of yummy food. We plopped on the couch with our food, knitting and watched the very exciting Super Bowl game. After the game we headed home. I think the doggies and I were asleep by 9pm while my hubby stayed up watching tv. He's such a night owl.

Congrats to the NY Giant's! What an exciting end to the game.

I heart the SUN!

The sun is out today, I know it's only for a little while because it's suppose to pour again this weekend :o( and although the sun is out it's still a bit chilly but I don't care, it's nice seeing the sun shine :o)

I'm so happy it's Friday. It has been a busy week for me here at work and I have been pooped. I got some good sleep though last night so I'm feeling good today. Nice and refreshed just in time for the weekend. I have been laying low all week, haven't even knitted cause I had been so pooped :o( oh well. I'll pick it back up this weekend.

Let's see, tonight we will be hanging out home. Tomorrow Ms. Olivia, Jeanette and I....crossing my fingers for Ms. Amy...will be heading to Sonoma for a couple of hours. I still need to pick up my wine since we had to scrap going last weekend. Should be a fun day with the ladies. My hubby is going to the Foo Fighters concert with his brother, my gift to them for Christmas :o) Sunday we are heading to my father/mother-in-laws house for Super Bowl. I'm looking forward to it but I'm not looking forward to having to weigh in on Monday after this weekend :o( waahhh. I'm still doing good though so hopefully I won't screw it up too bad.

GOOD LUCK to all our friends running the Kaiser Half Marathon on Sunday!
